Disabling SNMP monitoring for NoN-SNMP devices

This is handy when your device that is being monitored does not have SNMP and you keeping getting the snmp down messages. I monitor certain websites with the http monitor zenpack and I do this for them. So effectively after you add the device do the following:

  • 1. Browse to your device and click on the drop down menu -> More -> zProperties
  • 2. In here there is a property called zSnmpMonitorIgnore. Set that to True to disable it.
  • 3. Click save.

You can do the same thing if you want to disable ping monitoring as well except the zProperty is zPingMonitorIgnore.
